Panam Romance Guide – Cyberpunk 2077

Who wouldn't love this Nomadic queen?

One of the parts I most loved about Cyberpunk 2077 is its dynamic characters and the relationships you can develop with them. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, anyone who likes a bit of roleplaying will want to try it out. There are several characters with the option to romance in the game, such as Judy, Kerry, and River, but Panam has been one of the favorites by far. This Nomad beauty proposes a very different experience than romancing Judy, and she has some particular preferences and requirements to woo her properly, so here's how to do it successfully!

How to Romance Panam in Cyberpunk 2077

Like any character you are trying to romance in the game, Panam will need you to meet specific requirements and properly fall for you. It's obvious that you will need to be as sweet to her as possible, but you'll also need to meet some other standards. We'll go into each quest in more detail, but here's a quick view of the main conditions:

  • V needs to have a male body type.
  • You must flirt with Panam at the end of the side job, "Riders on the Storm."
  • You must NOT disclose Panam's plan to Saul at the beginning of the side job, "With a Little Help from my Friends."
  • During your conversation with Panam at the end of the side job, "With a Little Help from my Friends," you must NOT imply that you're helping her for the money.
  • After familiarizing yourself with the Basilisk controls during the "Queen of the Highway" side job, accept Panam's offer to push the neural synchronization, "Oh yeah. Let's go."

"Ghost Town"

This is where you will first meet Panam during the main storyline. To begin it, you'll need to speak to Rogue at the Afterlife and make the payment. After doing so, you will call Panam to set up a meeting and then get roped into completing a quick job with her. There really aren't any deal-breaking choices in this quest; however, you will have a chance to flirt with her briefly when staying at the Sunset Motel.

When she mentions renting two separate rooms, you can ask her instead to share one. She appreciates the gesture, but it doesn't exactly go to plan because these rooms have two twin beds. You won't be able to push the matter further; instead, agree to share a room with her; otherwise, she will break off to her own.

Continue the main questline with Panam, completing the quest, "Life During Wartime," then wait 12 in-game hours to begin Panam's side quests, where the real grafting begins.

"Riders on the Storm"

Panam's major side job missions will begin 12 in-game hours after completing the main quests alongside her. She will call asking for your help with some Nomad business. However, there are a few ways this quest can go bad before you even fully begin it. You will want to avoid these mistakes at all costs, or you will risk locking off Panam's questline and romance potential altogether:

  • Do NOT choose to go to the Raffen Shiv camp by your own means or choose not to meet Panam there with 24 in-game hours.
  • Do NOT ride with Panam to another destination, where she will throw you out of the vehicle and drive off, and choose not to meet up with her at the rendevous point within 24 in-game hours.

The most important part of this mission when it comes to romancing Panam will be toward the end when staying at the Ingalls farm together. This will open up your game-long relationship with her, which means you'll want to be very careful about what options you make. You'll want to meet the following conditions while at the farm:

  • Invite her to make herself more comfortable and take her shoes off.
  • Take the situation further by suggesting you have "a few more ideas."

After completing this mission, you'll need to wait another 12 in-game hours to continue her other side jobs and continue pushing the romance further. You'll receive a call from her again after waiting.

"With a Little Help from my Friends"

Once you receive another call from Panam seeking your assistance, you can continue the questline by heading to the Aldecaldos camp. There is a critical moment here at the very start of the quest after reaching the camp. This will affect your relationship, even after the big moment you had last quest, so make sure you meet this condition:

  • Do NOT disclose Panam's plan to Saul (This will cut all ties to Panam and abruptly end the Nomad storyline).

This will allow you to continue the mission with Panam and then reach the end of the quest, where you make another dire choice for your relationship. Panam will ask you why you're helping her:

  • Do NOT imply that you're doing it for the money (This will ruin your chances at a relationship with Panam, any other options are fine).

Completing Panam's questline will ultimately allow you to trigger a relationship with her, as long as you meet the conditions above. A relationship with Panam means random texts from her, sometimes with photos, more dialogue options, and her companionship. It also means you can choose the Nomad alternative ending.

How to get the Nomad Alternative Ending in Cyberpunk 2077

To get the Nomad ending, you'll first need to complete the side job, "Queen of the Highway," where your relationship with Panam is solidified. Then, in the main quest, "Nocturne OP55N1", while on the balcony with Misty, you'll have the choice to call your romantic interest or partner, only if you have already properly romanced them. This is a very important step to reaching alternative endings. To get the Nomad ending, call Panam and ask for her help.

WARNING: This contains spoilers for the ending of the game.

There are still two ways this could go down, even after asking Panam for help, and that is determined by how you choose to deal with Johnny inside Mikoshi. The best ending for the Nomads would be to remain in your body; however, if you decide to give up control of Johnny, things will be different. Here are your options:

  • Inside Mikoshi, choose to enter the well: "All Along the Watchtower" - Johnny remains in cyberspace, and V leaves Night City with the Nomads.
  • Inside Mikoshi, choose to cross the bridge with Alt: "New Dawn Fades" - V remains in cyberspace, and Johnny inherits V's body.

Choosing to stay as V will allow you to remain with the Nomads and Panam, and you'll see a cutscene of them all leaving Night City together. It's ultimately your Happy Ever After ending with Panam and, in my opinion, the better option to close out this beautiful relationship.
