Cyberpunk 2077 has a complex skill progression system using which players can develop their characters as per their playstyle. You can level up five different attributes and unlock a plethora of perks within. The Phantom Liberty expansion adds a new attribute to the list called Relic. Here's everything you need to know about it.
What is the Relic Skill Tree in Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty?
The Relic skill tree offers limited yet powerful upgrades to your character that you can only avail if you've purchased the Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. This skill tree unlocks at the beginning of the Dogtown quest, right after you first meet the NPC Songbird. It can be found in the Character menu with the other skill trees. However, you can't use regular Perk Points for it.
How to get Relic Points
Unlocking an ability in the Relic skill tree requires Relic Points that you can get by hacking Militech Data Terminals found only across Dogtown. You'll also be provided some Relic Points by Songbird, including the three that you get at the first meeting.
All Relic Skill Tree Abilities in Cyberpunk 2077
There are three main abilities to be unlocked in the Relic Skill Tree, and each of these has an extra associated perk that enhances the base ability. The main abilities can be unlocked for three Relic Points each, while their associated perks can be unlocked for one Relic Point.
Jailbreak
Jailbreak unlocks different abilities depending on the Arm Cyberware you've equipped:
- Mantis Blades: Performing a finisher with Mantis Blades charges a leaping attack. A charged leaping attack has 30 meters longer reach and deals massive damage to the target and nearby enemies.
- Gorilla Arms: Attacking with Gorilla Arms charges them up. When fully charged, a strong attack deals massive damage and creates a shockwave, staggering nearby enemies.
- Projectile Launch System: Overcharge the Projectile Launch System to launch a burst of five projectiles that cover a larger area.
- Monowire: Allows you to install a control quickhack in Monowire's dedicated mod slot. Release a fully charged Monowire to deal damage and upload the quickhack without paying its RAM cost.

Below are the four expansion perks for the Jailbreak ability, which require one Relic Point to unlock:
- Spatial Mapping - Mantis Blades: All leaping attacks cripple enemies and increase dismemberment chance for 10 seconds.
- Limiter Removal - Gorilla Arms: Shockwave from a charged attack knocks down all enemies in range.
- Launch Capacity Override - Projectile Launch System: Carry one extra projectile charge.
- Data Tunneling - Monowire: When an enemy is affected by a Monowire quickhack, further attacks will spread Monowire quickhacks to that enemy and others.
Emergency Cloaking
It allows you to activate an optical camo while in combat that causes enemies to lose track of you. You can use this opportunity to escape the fight or gain an upper hand on the hostiles. You can unlock the following associated perk for Emergency Cloaking for one Relic Point:
- Sensory Protocol: When crouched, being detected by an enemy slows time temporarily, giving you an escape window. This ability has a cooldown period of 120 seconds.
Vulnerability Analytics
This perk allows you to detect vulnerabilities or weak points in an enemy while in combat. Hit the highlighted vulnerability for 100 percent critical damage chance and +25 percent armor penetration. Destroying the vulnerability caused an EMP blast, damaging enemies within three meters. Here's the associated perk for Vulnerability Analytics:
- Machine Learning: Destroying an enemy’s vulnerability increases the chance of creating another one by 10 percent and increases critical damage against vulnerabilities by 5 percent. The effects last for 25 seconds and can stack five times.
