How to increase Carry Weight in Valheim

To increase your carry weight, you will need to get an item called a megingjord; you can get this item from the merchant haldor for 950 gold coins.

However, to buy items from Haldor, you will need to find him first, which is an ordeal on its own. In short, you can find Haldor at his camp in one of the Black Forest biomes in your world, which can literally be anywhere on your map, but if you are near him, a bag icon will appear on your map.

Once you find him, you can buy it with coins you get from killing certain monsters like trolls or selling items like ambers and rubies. You can also get both of these items from sunken crypts and burial grounds if you didn't know already.

That said, when you buy the Megingjord, all you need to do next to increase your carry weight is to equip it. To equip the item, simply right-click it, and your Viking will start to put it on; once it is on, you will get a pop op saying you feel stronger, and your total weight will increase to a max of 450.
