Best Horizon Forbidden West settings for high FPS and visuals

While testing the benchmarks of Horizon Forbidden West on my mid-range setup - RTX 3050 TI GPU with a Ryzen 5600 CPU at 1080p, I observed the game running smoothly, however it could use some improvements. Therefore, I made some adjustments to certain settings to optimize the game's performance.

I prioritize higher FPS over the visual aesthetics of the game. Therefore, if you are willing to trade off some frames for better visuals, I recommend experimenting with these settings to determine which ones suit you best.

How to get more FPS in Horizon Forbidden West on PC

I found the most resource-intensive settings to be Cloud Quality, Shadow Quality, Level of Detail, Parallax Occlusion Mapping, and Texture Quality. All of these settings can be tuned to your preference. I recommend keeping Texture Quality on the higher end as it significantly impacts the most noticeable visuals in the game.

I'm also not fond of post-effects such as Bloom, Blur, and Lens Flare. While they are not as hardware-heavy, but they may make your game feel sluggish with the effects. I am happy with these settings turned off.
