The important thing, though, to figure out first is which type of Storage Shed you have, wooden or standard. The type will determine the best route to go to customize it. Let’s take a look.

Customizing a Wooden Storage Shed

The best way to customize a Wooden Storage Shed is to do it yourself. For the Wooden Storage Shed, you can only customize the color. There are eight choices to choose from: brown, ivory, green, blue, red, dark brown, ash, and black. Customizing a Wooden Storage Shed cost 7 customization kits, a 4,200-bell value. This can be done at any workbench.

Alternative: You can also get your Wooden Storage Shed customized by Reese and Cyrus if you prefer, but it will cost 5,200 bells, making this option less cost-effective.

The best way to customize a standard Storage Shed is through Reese and Cyrus’ customization shop (if you don't have Reese and Cyrus yet, you can get them by adding their shop to Harv's co-op), This is the only way to change the color of the shed itself, and you can change your decal along with it.

There are also eight color options for the standard Storage Shed, but they differ from the color variants for the wooden one. The colors for the Storage Shed are light blue, blue, green, red, beige, black, pink, and damaged. The damaged variant is a worn-down shed perfect for a grittier island.

For adding or changing a decal, there are eight standard options, but you can also choose a custom pattern from your Custom Designs app. These can be game defaults, your own creations, or downloaded creations from other users.

Alternative: If you only want to change the decal on the front, but not the color, you can do that at a workbench for 7 customization kits.
