When will Skull Town return in Apex Legends?

Prepare your landing gear.

Skull Town is a fan-favorite POI on the Kings Canyon map in Apex Legends, and players are wondering when it will return to the game. Several leaks leading up to the next season speculated that this iconic POI will be making a return. The developers also teased in an official blog mentioning that something will rise up from the ashes of the past. Although the chances are high, players will have to wait till Reforged Kings Canyon is added to map rotation to confirm for sure. While the legendary POI might return in Apex Legends Season 14, it will most likely feature various structural changes.

What is the release date for Apex Legends Hunted?

The next season will be called Apex Legends Hunted, and it is scheduled to begin on August 9, 2022. Season 14 will introduce a new Legend named Vantage, and she is classified as a Survivalist Sniper. The official trailer for the character showed some of her abilities, and it will be interesting to see how she affects the meta. As shown in the trailer, this new Legend might have a jetpack ability that allows her to take a height advantage. While Vantage's abilities remain a mystery, fans cannot wait to experience the wild changes the developers have in mind.

Kings Canyon was removed from the map rotation in Apex Legends Season 13, and the map will return next season. This iconic map has several memorable POIs, but none of them are close to Skull Town in terms of popularity. Skull Town is a highly contested area, and most often, you will find at least three other squads landing at this spot.

The mad scramble for loot and the number of opponents landing at the same spot give players very little room for error at this POI. Surviving in Skull Town is not easy, as it requires immense map knowledge, movement mastery, and impeccable aim. While landing at this POI is great in public matches, we recommend players steer clear from this location in ranked mode.
