Best Towers in Bloons TD 6

Bloons TD 6 is one of the premier tower defense games out there. Like all games in the genre, it has many towers—or in this case, monkeys. But with such variety, it can be overwhelming to pick which monkeys are the best for your defense! Each different tower/monkey has specialties. For example, some towers need to be used just to thin the herd of Bloons heading your way. Meanwhile, others are needed to break camouflage and armor. Below, we've listed the best towers in Bloons TD 6, along with their best use scenario.

6) Boomerang Monkey

A very basic monkey but one that should be in every defense. The Boomerang has good range, great area of effect, and incredible upgrades. Being able to upgrade into either more damage, longer range, or a dedicated anti-MOAB unit makes them the most versatile Monkey in the game.

5) Bomb Shooter

Essential for every defense level, the Bomb Shooter is your best method of taking out Lead Bloons, which are otherwise undamageable. But, again, this upgrades into either a huge area of effect damage or an anti-MOAB weapon, so very versatile.

4) Dartling Gunner

With significant consistent damage and a quick upgrade path to detecting Camo Bloon, the Dartling Gunner is a must-have once unlocked. To get them, score 500,000 individual Bloon pops while playing the game. However, this isn’t a difficult milestone.

3) Alchemist

Damage over time isn’t something you usually think will be useful in tower defense games, but the Alchemist proves their worth almost immediately. This is perhaps the best support-class Monkey in the game because of the income generation and ability to allow nearby monkeys to pop Lead Bloons.

2) Sniper

With unlimited range and almost unlimited versatility, the Monkey Sniper is a must-pick. Thanks to the infinite range, easy Camo Bloon destruction, and the ability to not clog up your pathways. You’re playing the game wrong if you don’t have a few of these Monkeys on your board.

1) Tack Shooter

Simple but deadly, the Tack Shooter is your all-purpose Bloon clearer. Able to be placed on essential junctions like corners and u-turns, the Tack Shooter will clear Bloons faster than any other if placed right and upgraded well.
