The 2.0 update added a wide variety of changes to Cyberpunk 2077. The changes range from a revamped perk system to an overhaul of vehicle mechanics. In addition to the ability to shoot while driving and using weaponized vehicles, you can now use quickhack on vehicles. Here's how to make full use of that.
How to Quickhack Vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077
To hack into other vehicles, stationary or moving, you need to acquire a specific perk from the skill tree. Go to the Character menu and select the Intelligence attribute. Unlock the Carhacker skill at the bottom right corner using one Perk Point. If you don't see the perk unlocked, rank up Intelligence to level 4 using Attribute Points.
Now that you have the Carhacker perk unlocked, you can use your netrunner abilities to hack any vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077, given it's in working condition. Just open your scanner while looking at a vehicle, and you'll get four quickhack options, which I've discussed below.
All Vehicle Quickhacks in Cyberpunk 2077
Quickhack | RAM Cost | Upload Time (sec) | Duration (sec) | Effect |
---|---|---|---|---|
Self-Destruct | 26 | 5 | - | Make the target vehicle explode. |
Take Control | 15 | 1.5 | Infinite | Remotely take over driver control and drive it within a limited range that is displayed on top. Change to the first-person view for a better feel. |
Floor It | 12 | 0.5 | 6 | Force maximum acceleration and limited steering capability. |
Emergency Brakes | 16 | 0.5 | 10 | Force handbrake causes the vehicle to stop abruptly. |
How to Jump Out of Vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077
Using quickhacks on a vehicle is cool, but I also suggest you unlock the Stuntjock perk from the Reflexes attribute. It allows you to jump out or slide out of a moving vehicle, which wasn't possible before the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update.
