Dead by Daylight Killers ranked by how much I want to DC

The rage increases the more down you scroll.

We have all been there, facing a Killer that annoys us to death, but we can't do anything about it since disconnecting leads to penalties. Here's my list of all Dead by Daylight Killers ranked by how much they make me want to DC.

List of all DBD Killers ranked by how much I want to rage quit

Sometimes I miss the old days when you could quit a match in DBD without a penalty if the Killer enraged you. Now, we have to stay in a match and suffer. However, I can also rant here, so I'm giving you my list of all DBD Killers ranked by how much I want to rage quit the moment I even think they are in my trial.

36. Trapper

There is nothing the OG face of DBD could do that would make me want to rage quit. If I step into a trap, that's on me because I wasn't careful enough. I am honestly super impressed when a Trapper has great trap placement. It takes a lot of effort to do something like that on all DBD maps. I love him, and that will never change.

35. Nurse

In the trial, you'll either encounter a baby Nurse or a pro Nurse. Whatever the case is, they can do no wrong. I appreciate the skill level and the commitment it takes to get good at her. And I am never more proud than when I successfully juke her.

34. Vecna

Apart from coming from an iconic franchise, Vecna is pretty fun to play against. His four powers don't feel overwhelming but instead are incredibly entertaining and challenging. Add the special magic item mechanic to it with the D20, and he becomes an all-around great Killer that I enjoy encountering in the fog.

33. Hillbilly

Another one of the OG Killers and the uncontested better chainsaw user (I won't be taking criticism on that statement). Billy's attack is a one-hit down, but it is avoidable (unlike somebody else's). Any time I manage to juke an incoming chainsaw, I feel a growing sense of accomplishment.

32. Michael Myers

Michael Myers standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight

I know one friend who would put Myers pretty high up on this list. I, however, love him to death. And I mean that quite literally. My encounters with him usually end with me getting jumpscared about ten times because I don't look around and then killed.

I would also like to issue a formal apology to all my friends because I am usually the one feeding his power, and I don't notice him staring at me. If we ever get that shirtless Mikey skin, though, I'm going to be staring right back. Be warned!

31. Ghost Face

While I can almost never spot a Mikey, I have an almost sixth sense for the swish sound of Ghost Face's coattails. I think anyone who plays him actually wants to DC because I'm constantly breaking them out of their power. I am never better at looping and escaping than when I am facing a Ghost Face. It's like annoying him gives me power and improves my skills.

30. Onryo

When you play so many hours of a game like Dead by Daylight, you tend to lose the fear factor that existed at the start. That has never been the case with Sadako, and I really appreciate that she can still put the fear inside my bones. It definitely helps that I am extra scared of the Ring.

29. Pyramid Head

Pyramid Head standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight

I am never complaining when I spot him in a match. Pyramid Head is not just one of the hottest Killers in DBD (if you are into that type of thing, which I am), but he has also introduced the very unique concept of cages to the game. It brings about a very necessary change of pace compared to the regular hooking system.

28. Plague

Plague standing in lobby of Dead by Daylight

While Plague's puke can't really be dodged due to the spread, I don't really mind it that much. She has a pretty unique mechanic that can be countered so long as you don't cleanse, forcing her to M1 you. It also helps that she is right there at the top with Pyramid Head on my list of hottest DBD Killers.

27. Unknown

The Unknown standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight

I don't have much to say about the Unknown, but this creature has a lot to say for me. My adrenaline spikes any time I hear it talk because that sound design is absolutely terrifying. Another Killer that keeps the terror alive, which I like.

26. Deathslinger

Deathslinger standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight

Being the only gun-wielding Killer in the game deserves respect, so I am never skipping a match against Deathslinger. I also love his entire cowboy aesthetic and the fact that he can reel you in with a chain. All around fun to play against. I would love to go for a drink at the Dead Dawg Saloon with him.

25. Wesker

Any Resident Evil fan will agree that you just can't skip a match against the iconic Mastermind Wesker. He is very aggressive when he chases you down, which I find a bit funny every time until he slams me against the wall and takes me out. I never learn not to mock the Killers in my head, I always get jinxed.

24. Xenomorph

Alien mori animation in Dead by Daylight

My biggest complaint with the Alien is the fact that I don't get to play against it as much as I would want. And no one can blame me, those Remote Flame Turrets are extremely fun to use. I'd love to use them against some other Killers as well (primarily the ones at the top of this list), but sadly that's not an option.

23. Freddy

Freddy mori animation in Dead by Daylight

I haven't seen a Freddy in so long that I sometimes forget he is in the game. When he came out, his mechanic of putting you into a dream state was extremely frightening. Now I miss it sometimes since I'm a big fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. I'm hoping he gets a good rework at some point.

22. Artist

I'm neither here nor there on the Artist. I love her design and gameplay idea, but she isn't too difficult to go against when you know what signs to look out for. All in all, she is fine but can be pretty boring in matches.

21. Oni

Oni standing in lobby of Dead by Daylight
Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Oni used to be a pretty scary and annoying monster, especially in combination with the Thanatophobia Killer Perk, which slows down all of your progress if more people are injured. However, I think most people (including myself) are pretty used to his kind of playstyle, and it can be quite entertaining. The sound of him stomping around still spikes my adrenaline a little bit, though.

20. Demogorgon

I have no strong opinions about the Demogorgon (though I do have a lot of hate for the Hawkins lab - the map that comes with this chapter). This Killer uses the tunnels to quickly move around and try to get the jump on you, quite literally. However, so long as you close the holes to the tunnels up, this Killer is pretty easy to play against.

19. Doctor

Doctor standing in lobby of Dead by Daylight
Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

The Doctor's powers making you scream all the time can be annoying to a degree, but that's just his play style. I sometimes get frustrated when I fail a juke due to screaming, but that's my skill issue and has nothing to do with the Doctor himself. He has a cool power that you can still go against, so I'm pretty happy when I encounter him.

18. Pig

Pig standing in lobby of Dead by Daylight

I used to get very frustrated when she first got added to the game, especially when I had a trap on and my teammates popped a gen. However, once you learn how to play against the Pig and recognize the sound of her sneaking around, it isn't that difficult and can be pretty fun. I just have to learn to stop missing skill checks whenever I am trying to get the trap of my head.

17. Chucky

Having to play against such a short Killer is both a funny and entertaining experience. Unlike Victor, Chucky doesn't give me the instant heebie jeebies. I am usually okay with dolls and mannequins in horror media, so I think that helps. I would also love it if his voice lines were uncensored, but I understand why they aren't.

16. Hag

Hag mori animation in Dead by Daylight
Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

You won't see many Hag players nowadays, but I really don't mind her when I do encounter her. Her clones popping up can still jumpscare me, but that won't stop me from running around the map without a care in the world. She does need some sort of rework if they ever intend for her to climb up the Killer ranks.

15. Clown

He affects your view greatly, and that's not even the annoying part of him. I dislike it when he laughs because it feels like the Clown is mocking me (he probably is). In general, he isn't too bad to play against, I just find him a bit creepy due to his finger obsession. I'm actually pretty okay with the clown part.

14. Knight

The Knight in the lobby of Dead by Daylight
Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

The biggest issue most everyone seems to have against the Knight is that he is an extremely anti-loop Killer, so much so that there isn't even a point in trying. I've sadly not had as much experience playing against him as I almost never saw anyone playing him. I have no special feelings about him, he just exists.

13. Nemesis

Nemesis mori animation in Dead by Daylight

Another Resident Evil Killer, but slightly more annoying than Wesker. Nemesis really does scare me a lot, but that is usually overpowered with annoyance whenever he hits me with his Tentacle Strike, and then I walk straight into a zombie that I didn't notice nearby and give him a free hit.

12. Legion

Legion standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight

If I see a Legion getting a hit on a Survivor with their power, I just sigh and prepare myself to get hit as well. Sometimes, I'm tired of having to mend (or have someone else mend me) so I can get back to gens. And I have to admit, there have been plenty of times when I didn't notice how far along my mend meter is and get downed. That one is on me, but I'm slightly over that entire process.

11. Pinhead

Pinhead mori animation in Dead by Daylight

Pinhead is another iconic licensed Killer in the world of Dead by Daylight. So long as you keep him from getting the box, you should be able to survive. However, getting pulled on all sides by his chains is extremely irritating on the best of days, which is why he has to go higher up on this list.

10. Huntress

Huntress standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight
Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

I am so uncertain about my feelings towards Huntress. On the one hand, I love her to death, her design, story, and mechanics are my favorites. On the other hand, if I get hit with a hatchet when I am already safe behind a wall again, I might just break something. Her hitbox is never going to work perfectly, and that makes me incredibly sad.

9. Singularity

Singularity standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight
Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

I get so annoyed when Singularity slipstreams me, but in the end, he isn't too terrible to play against. So long as you have an EMP on you. I also find it satisfying how the survivors keep clicking on the chests to print the item. Singularity has a pretty steep learning curve, so I don't really encounter him much in matches.

8. Blight

Blight mori animation in Dead by Daylight

Blight is a pretty OP Killer, which is great when you want to win all matches but not great when you are a Survivor trying to escape. His add-ons make him even more powerful, even after a supposed 'nerf' in January of 2024. Hopefully, we'll actually see him nerfed at some point in the future.

7. Dredge

Dredge standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight
Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

The Dredge isn't a terribly difficult Killer to play against, and I quite enjoy the fact that he travels through Lockers. It provides that little bit of extra fear. However, I can never forgive the Dredge for taking away Maurice the horse from the Crotus Prenn map, even if he is back now. I'll hold this grudge against it until the day I die.

6. Twins

The twins standing in lobby of Dead by Daylight

The best thing about this Killer is the fact that you can kick Victor. Apart from this being the first instance in the game where you could technically injure a Killer, there is nothing more satisfying than punting that creature. He creeps me out to no end, and Charlotte is not far behind.

It doesn't help them that they are the perfect camping duo, which is one of my least favorite tactics to play Killer. If only they could add a way to knock out Charlotte as well, then maybe I'd like playing against them.

5. Spirit

Spirit standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight
Screenshot by Pro Game Guide

The Spirit is an annoying Killer to go against just because there isn't an actual way to counter her. A lot of it is trying to mind game her without mind gaming yourself in the process (it never works). It can get pretty tiring, and I really dread hearing her teleport across the map.

4. Wraith

I would like to issue a formal apology to Wraith. Mr. Bing Bong was a major cause of rage for so long, but now there are others that make me want to quit. I could almost cheer when the familiar bell echoes across the map. I do say 'almost' because I still have the amazing luck of getting consistently tunneled by Wraith players, so he is close to the top of this rage list.

3. Leatherface

Leatherface standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight

Bubba can be a bearable Killer at times. But if I see you camping a Survivor while playing him? Entity jail for you. Especially if it's in the basement. Basement Bubba strat never made sense to me. You're just going to stand in a corner as we finish all gens and get only one kill? I don't see how you can get any enjoyment out of it other than from ruining a person's day.

2. Skull Merchant

Skull Merchant standing in the lobby of Dead by Daylight
Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

I have honestly never encountered a more annoying Killer due to her complicated gameplay mechanic. Have I looked up exactly how her drones work? So many times. And yet, I still don't know how they work. I feel like every time I run through its scan, something new happens. I'm just waiting for the day I get scanned, and a fist comes out of my screen and knocks me out.

Overall, I find it annoying and exhausting every time I face her that she almost made it to the top of the list. Almost, but there is one Killer that I have to fight all of my instincts to not rage quit instantly.

1. Trickster

Trickster mori animation in Dead by Daylight

Trickster's aesthetic and design are absolutely amazing, I love it very much. That said, if he hits me with one of his stupid knives again, I will have to turn around and pick an actual fight with him, and he isn't winning.

This is the most annoying Killer mechanic in the game. It just feels like I'm attacked by 100 mosquitos, and there is no way to get rid of him. If I wouldn't ruin the night for my friends, I would absolutely be DCing any time I see him in a match.
