How to open locked security shutters in Deathloop?

Hackerman!

Nothing is worse than being ever so sneaky, then you get seen at the last second, and the place goes into a full lockdown. Or being caught by a blue sensor/camera, which in turn causes a security shutter/gate to protect the door from entry.

If this happens, worry not, as Deathloop gives you a way to open up these security shutters with an item known as the Hackamajig. This Hackamajig can hack into the sensors of the shutter to override it and open once more. But you have to have the Hackamajig equipped. This can be when dual-wielding with another item.

When equipped, just look for a sensor above the door. Some circles will appear, which indicates that you to hack into the sensor and, by holding down the prompt for a short while, will hack it.

If the Hackamajig is not equipped, then no button prompt will appear for you to hold down and let the hacking do its work. This is the only way to reopen doors or retract security gates is through the use of your handy-made Hackamajig. Without it, your plan to stop the time loop will be exponentially more difficult.
