Should you listen to the floating text that appears in Deathloop?

Do I accept help or not?

As you play as Colt, you'll have noticed the vast amount of floating text that appears as you explore the areas. Most of the time, it gives you little hints and tips, or sometimes it's just reading friendly words in an extremely hostile environment. But should you always listen to it?

This one is interesting, as no doubt, this is sort of a leftover residue of Colt as he dies or the day ends and restarts the time loop. Albeit the text helps you out a lot, telling you if places are empty, don't go this way or that way, but do you have to follow its passive helpful instructions?

Well, no, you can utterly ignore the floating text if you wish and go the exact opposite of what it tells you to do. But you will find the game that much harder, which for some people is exactly how they want to play the game.

Instead of finding a lone path with one person patrolling, you may find an entrance with 10 people guarding it, yet it may be quicker. Ignoring the text is more for those who want to go in guns blazing from the get-go.

The text will become obsolete when you know what you are doing and have done enough exploring and research to know where things are and the best possible route to take.
