Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles faithfully tells the story of the first season of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime. The game gives players a chance to take control of their favorite characters as they face the many demons from the story in harrowing boss fights. One of these fascinating boss battles places Zenitsu against the Spider Demon Elder Brother, but how can Zenitsu overcome this fight?

• The Spider Demon Elder brother starts the fight, attacking from range, spawning in his spider minions to impede Zenitsu’s movement.
• Use Zenitsu’s signature move, First Form: Thunderclap and Flash to close the distance between the boss and take out some of the spider minions.
• The Spider Demon Elder Brother will attack from range using spider webs and poison blasts when hanging from trees, so evade his attacks until he descends to the ground, as this is the only place Zenitsu can hit him.
• Poison will cause damage over time and spider webs will drastically reduce Zenitsu’s movement speed, so be wary of the oncoming projectiles.
• Once the Spider Demon Elder Brother is on the ground, he’ll spit poison at Zenitsu in several straight lines, watch out for their paths, as a red line appears on the ground just before the boss attacks.
• Spider Demon Elder Brother will occasionally push Zenitsu back with a gust of wind, but this defensive move does no damage.
• Rush the boss using special attacks like Thunderclap and Flash and light combos to stun him into submission.
• After taking damage, the boss will flee to the trees. Continue to dodge while taking out several of the spider minions for energy to fill your Boost gauge.
• Once the Spider Demon Elder Brother returns to the ground, he’ll try to gain some distance from Zenitsu. Rush him with Thunderclap and Flash to stop him from attacking.
• After each successful combo, the Spider Demon Elder Brother will flee to the trees once more, so be patient and continue to chip away at his health when he makes his way to the ground.
• Make sure to start off with a light combo and finish with a special attack when striking the boss, as this will garner the most damage when he’s on the ground.
• Towards the halfway point of the boss battle, the Spider Demon Elder brother will start leaping at Zenitsu from his thread in the air with an unblockable attack. You’ll recognize this when he’s covered in a red aura—Dodge when this happens.
• The boss will also get a Surge that amplifies his attacks for an extended period. When he glows red after the screen closes in on him, be prepared to go on the defensive.
• The Elder Brother will retreat to the trees and launch a flurry of poison blasts at Zenitsu until the Surge ends, at which point he will be vulnerable. Use this opportunity to get close and strike.
• Once his health drops to the red notch in his health bar, players need only complete the upcoming quick-time event to complete the boss fight and defeat the Spider Demon Elder Brother.
