Disney Dreamlight Valley Belle Level 4 Friendship Quest Guide – Breaking The Code

After helping Belle hunt down some books in her level 2 Friendship quest, you'll return to her again on her Friendship level 4 to start deciphering the Mysterious Book she found in the Dreamlight Library. To do this, help assemble the Translation Machine, Maurice's old invention. Here are all the steps you'll need to complete this quest as easily as possible!

How to complete "Breaking The Code" quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To start deciphering the Mysterious Book, you'll need something to help, and thankfully, Belle has just the thing you'll need—her father's Translation Machine. You'll first need to gather her father's plans, which happen to be scattered around Beast's Castle in the Beauty and The Beast realm.

Where to find Maurice's Design Pages in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Tracking down these pages may seem a little confusing since there are a lot of pages spread around the Castle already, but most of them are a side story someone seemed to be writing. The biggest way to tell the two types of pages apart is to approach them and see what option pulls up: Read will be story pages, and Pick Up will be the design plans.

Here are all the locations you can find the pages you need, according to where I found them myself. Use the pictures above to help follow along:

• Beast's Room - in front of the Enchanted Canvas on the wall
• The Library - in the left corner
• The Garden - to the left of the rose bushes

After you bring Belle the plans, you'll need to start collecting the items you need to craft the Machine. You'll need quite a few items, so be sure to check your storage or head out and get as many things as you can to continue this quest.

How to Craft the Translation Machine in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Here's what you'll need to make the Translation Machine for Belle:

• Softwood x30 (Harvested in The Plaza)
• Tinkering Parts x4 (Made from Iron Ingots, which you can make from Iron Ore harvested from Deposits)
• Glass x20 (Made from sand and coal, which you can purchase from Kristoff's Stall or find on Dazzle Beach by digging or breaking Sandstones)
• Motherboard x1 (From WALL-E)

The last step to complete these quests is to help Belle answer the Translation Machine questions in return for a translation of the first line of the Mysterious Book. These questions will be based on Beauty and The Beast trivia, so hopefully, you know your stuff.
