How to get your name changed in DogLife – A New Leash on Life Achievement

A new home, a new name!

To get your name changed in DogLife and complete the New Leash on Life achievement, you will need to get adopted.

When you get adopted, there will be a high chance your owner will change your name right afterward.

But before you can get adopted, you will first need to be either a Pet store or Shelter dog or cat.

Start by creating a character and select either Pet store or Shelter as your background. Once your character is created, you will need to focus next on getting adopted.

Having high cuteness will help a lot with getting you adopted by humans, but if you want high cuteness, you will need to reroll your character prior until you have a decent level in it.

That said, once you have a character with a decent level of cuteness, you will need to age up until you have an adoption encounter. When this happens, you will see a pop-up that explains someone wants to adopt you.

You will also be given a number of choices on how to respond. Your best bet is to choose the one that sounds like it would work. For example, vomiting on them is not the best idea, but nuzzling the potential owner is.

Because of this, we recommend choosing an option such as barking at them, being playful, and nuzzling them.

If you manage to get adopted, there is a chance when your owner takes you home, they will change your name. When it happens and your name is changed, you will complete the New Leash on Life achievement in DogLife.

However, it's worth noting that they are not guaranteed to change your name, so if it doesn't happen, you will need to restart and try again.
