Are there guns in Dying Light 2?

Either way, aim for the head.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is the sequel to the acclaimed Dying Light. In this post-apocalyptic zombie game, players will be fighting the dead and other players. To do that, they will need weapons. While the Dying Light series is known for its brutal melee combat, some players may be wondering if there are guns in Dying Light 2.

There are, in fact, guns in Dying Light 2—though not many, and ammunition is scarce. Notably, there is a handmade shotgun players can use, but mainly they will be using melee weapons. There are nearly 200 melee weapons that players can get either by finding, stealing, or crafting them. Additional ranged weapons are a harpon-type gun an bows.

One thing to note is that Dying Light 2 has weapon degradation. The developers have talked about this and stated this is due to the quality of materials found in the world of Dying Light 2. Most weapons the players use will be made from scrap pieces, which makes them less reliable than standard weapons.

This means players will have to be more strategic when approaching combat and managing their weapons. The last thing you want to happen is your favorite weapon break in the middle of a zombie swarm.
