Getting Valuables is required to farm money in Dying Light 2. You can get Valuables by looting and killing various enemies in the game.
But if you want to get a ton of Valuables fast, the best way is to farm them. That said, here are the best ways to farm Valuables in Dying Light 2.
Farm Dark Hallows During the Day
Although the game recommends looting Dark Hollows at night, you can gain more Valuables in the day. In short, there will be far more amount Infected, including Virals that tend to drop Valuables.
You will also sometimes encounter Volatiles depending on the location. Volatiles are dangerous enemies but drop unique Valuables, which sell for a lot in Dying Light 2.
Because of this, farming during the day could be a lucrative prospect in the game but comes with risks. In short, looting during the day is dangerous because you can get swarmed because of the larger amount of Infected.
Luckily, you can easily counter the increased risks by being high level and having a decent selection of weapons. It can also help to make a few grenades you can lob through the doorway to the Dark Hollow to clear out the initial room of Infected.
Revisit Locations and Farm Respawning Loot
Loot will usually respawn after leaving a location, and some time has passed. Because of this, you can get a ton of Valuables to sell if you revisit those locations in the game.
We recommend trying this method out on Metro Stations, Bandit Camps, and quest locations. But for the Bandit Camps and Metro Stations, don't complete or clear them. If you clear either one, all loot at the location will disappear and won't respawn again.
Farm Chases and Volatiles
Farming Chases is a similar prospect to looting Dark Hollows in the day. However, if you are up to the task, you can farm Chases and the loot from Volatiles by hiding out inside a Forsaken Store.
To use this method, you will need to clear a Forsaken Store of all Infected and then start a Chase. Once the chase begins, retreat to the Forsaken store and stay by the door.
While at the door, you will be able to kill any Infected chasing you by using a ranged weapon or a throwable. If done right, the Infected should stay by the door trying to get at you. After a while, you may need to leave the store to keep the chase going. To do this, leave and get near any Infected outside and return to the store.
