How to use the Grappling Hook in Dying Light 2

Swing through the air with ease!

The world of Dying Light 2 is pretty big and, with so much to explore, it can be daunting. With a map this size, traversal is very important, which is why tools like the Grappling Hook and Paraglider come in handy. They're quick ways to easily get from point A to point B.

To use the Grappling Hook, players will need to equip the tool and then find areas of the environment marked with a small circular indicator. Hovering over these prompts and pressing LT (on Xbox), L2 (on PlayStation), or middle mouse button (on PC) should allow players to grapple to that point in the world.

How to unlock the Grappling Hook

Players will unlock the Grappling Hook as they progress through the story. During a story mission titled Broadcast, players will find the Grappling Hook by looking around the elevator. This tool can't be missed, so there is no need to worry.

As with most of the mechanics in the game, the Grappling Hook is not available from the beginning of the game, and players will have to play for a few hours before obtaining it. It's worth the wait, though, and will make moving around the map a much simpler task.
