Should you help turn on the UV lamps or search for Barney in Dying Light 2?

During the quest Unruly Brother in Dying Light 2, you will be given a choice to help a band of survivors turn on their UV Lamps. The other option is to continue to search for Barney, the quest's main objective

At this point, you may be wondering if you have to choose one or the other—the answer is no. In short, it doesn't matter if you decide to help the survivors, as it won't prevent you from searching for Barney.

You can actually do both options as long as you turn on the survivors' Windmill and then head back inside to the Forsaken store to continue your search.

If you are unsure how to turn the Windmill on, you are going to need to parkour all the way up to the top. At the top, you will find a generator switch. Turn it on, and you will complete this part of the quest.

On the other hand, if you choose not to help the survivors, the outcome will be grim for the survivors. But it won't have a huge impact on the quest's outcome, and you will eventually find Barney all the same. You will just miss out on some XP and a small reward.
