What are UV Shrooms and how to use them in Dying Light 2?

Keep the infection away!

Dying Light 2 has a unique mechanic that forces players to keep the zombie infection at bay. The key to this is staying within UV light, whether that is artificial or natural. Consuming UV Shrooms is another way players can keep the infection down.

Since there is no natural UV light after nightfall, players will need to rely on artificial UV light or consumable items, like the UV Shrooms. Players can consume UV Shrooms to decrease the infection's time to spread by 30 seconds. Eating UV Shrooms is not the only way to avoid infection, but they are found conveniently around the world and can come in handy in a pinch.

Where to find UV Shrooms?

The easiest place to find UV Shrooms in abundance is within the rooftop supply caches. Players should be able to spot these areas, as they are often marked with tall yellow trees, setting them apart from other rooftops.

Players can find the UV Shrooms on the tree stumps or on the side of structures in these areas. Simply pick them and put them into the inventory for later use.
