All character abilities in Chocobo GP

Chocobo GP features a number of characters from the Final Fantasy who you can choose to play as. While you might simply decide which to use based on appearances or which one's your favorite, each character also has a special ability to consider.

Special abilities function as a sort of super and can turn the tide of the race. These abilities include powerful attacks, speed boosts, shields, and more. You can see each character's ability below. We will update this list when more information is available.

Atla

Pom-Pom Crystal: Atla steals crystals from the racer ahead of him and drops fake crystals behind. Any racer who touches one of the fake crystals explodes.

Ben

Charge: Ben grows in size and emits an aura. He gains a speed boost and will wipe out any players he smashes into.

Camilla

Chocobo Combo: Camilla creates five flower rings around the course. Passing through them grants her a boost and invincibility. Each time she passes through a ring, the effects are extended. Other racers can gain these benefits by passing through the rings as well.

Camilla's Pa

Pa's Plow: Camilla's Pa activates a plow that extends from the sides of his vehicle. During this time, he gains invincibility and a speed boost. As Pa races, water puddles form that spin other racers out if they touch them.

Chocobo

Chocobo Dash!: Chocobo summons a ring behind him and boosts forward with increased speed for a set period of time. Other racers who pass through the ring gain a boost as well.

Cid

Three-Shot Burst: Cid fires three artillery shots from his tank's cannon. You can select the target by holding a direction when activating the ability.

Clair

Invisihood: Clair becomes transparent and nearly invisible. While in this state, he cannot be targeted by abilities or Magicite attacks.

Gilgamesh

Sword Saint: Gilgames throws pieces of his sword to the front of and behind his vehicle. Racers who strike one of these pieces suffer damage based on the sword type. This could be a spin or a complete wipe out.

Ifrit

Hellfire: Ifrit releases a burst of flame that creates a fiery barrier across the course. This barrier moves along the track and wipes out any racer who touches it.

Irma

Boost Chain: Irma gains a speed boost when activated. During this time, she can still drift, use Magicite, and do aerial tricks.

Racing Hero X

Mog Beam X: Racing Hero X fires a gigantic energy beam that travels along the track. It will take out any racer it comes into contact with. It can be deployed behind Racing Hero X to block any Magicite attacks and wipe out racers behind.

Shirma

Kurukuru Counter: Shirma becomes enveloped in a barrier for a set time. If any racer uses Magicite on her during this time, Kurukuru appears and counterattacks that racer.
