FF7 Ever Crisis Tier List

Tl:dr Cloud is really good.

Bringing Final Fantasy 7 into a mobile game setting has definitely given some of these characters new opportunities to shine. This makes the Tier List for Ever Crisis very fresh since not every character is like how you might remember them from other Final Fantasy 7 games.

All FF7 Ever Crisis characters, ranked

S Tier

Cloud Strife

Considering he is the protagonist of the original game, it would be hard to imagine Cloud not being strong in FF7 Ever Crisis. With his Limit Breaks, though, he is far and away the best Physical DPS option in FF7 Ever Crisis. Blade Beam also gives him a great AoE option.

Tifa Lockhart

Tifa also finds herself in S tier due to her debuff utility. She can apply so many debuffs to the enemy that her teammates are likely to win out with a huge stats advantage. On top of that, she also has a heal that costs one less ATV.

A Tier

Aerith Gainsborough

Aerith is simply the best healer in the game. Fairy Tale is a very strong healing spell, and she also gets Mythical Rod to give the team some extra magic defense. Aerith is great to bring for any enemies that specialize in magic.

Sephiroth

While Cloud is the best Physical DPS in the game, Sephiroth is the best Magic DPS. The only reason why Sephiroth is a little lower on the list is because he is a glass cannon. Sephiroth has a very low health pool and can get KO'ed fairly easily.

Matt Winsord

Matt can do a little bit of everything. His options for DPS are decent. On top of that, Matt gets Prime Number, which is a great healing weapon. Combined with his Limit Break, which gives the team a barrier, Matt is basically a model teammate.

Barrett Wallace

Barrett is really just a bruiser. He gets a great choice of weapons, though, including the Heavy Hauser. It's hard to compete with Cloud in terms of Physical DPS, but Barrett is still really fun to use.

B Tier

Lucia Lin

Lucia gets some utility, but not as much as Matt or Tifa. This leads to hear being outclassed pretty hard. Right now, though, she still has value at being the only Earth character in the game. Once more characters are added, she might drop.

Glenn Lodbrok

It's really hard to rank Glenn highly in this game. He has great weapons and great Limit Breaks. The issue is, more people will probably gravitate towards Barret or Cloud as their DPS, and rightly so.

Zack Fair

Zach may not be the best Physical or Magic DPS, but he does both decently. This gives him a niche in B tier. One of Zack's best abilities is Black Whiskers, which drops physical damage taken. When paired with things like the barrier from Matt, Zack can make the team very strong defensively.

C Tier

Red XIII

Sadly, Red just doesn't have much going for it. Seaside Collar is a fantastic ability, and Red's Limit Breaks are pretty nice. There is on other reason to run Red over the above characters, though.
