With the upcoming release of patch 6.2 on Aug. 23, Final Fantasy XIV is undergoing routine maintenance to update the servers and prepare the game for the new patch. The maintenance was announced on the official Lodestone site.
The maintenance is scheduled to begin on Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, at 7:00pm PT and continue until Aug. 23, 2022, 3:00am PT. Overall the maintenance will take eight hours. The completion time is subject to change, and often these updates will launch slightly earlier or later.

As usual, the Home World Transfer Service and the Data Center Travel System will be suspended 30 minutes before maintenance begins and unavailable until maintenance ends. Additionally, the Companion app will also be undergoing maintenance. Once the maintenance is complete, you will no longer be able to replay any duty recorder data recorded prior to this maintenance.
Patch 6.2 is one of the most anticipated patches yet released for FFXIV: Endwalker. With the much vaunted Island Sanctuary set to release, alongside new story quests, raids, trials, dungeons, and more. When put into perspective, an eight-hour wait for all this new content is not long.
