How to unlock Stone Sky Sea in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker

Time to practice!

Testing your DPS before entering a challenging Raid or Trial can be essential to improve at Final Fantasy XIV. But just wailing on a Striking Dummy without a set goal isn’t always the best option. That’s where Stone, Sky, Sea comes in. This training mode gives you a series of timed challenges that allow you to test your DPS and rotation.

To unlock Stone, Sky, Sea in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, first makes sure you have completed the Main Story Quest (MSQ). Then, with a level-90 job, head to Palaka’s Stand in Thavnair. You need to talk to the Sharp-eyed Radiant. He’s located at X: 29.8, Y: 17.2.

After a brief conversation, you’ll have access to the Stone, Sky, Sea challenges. Initially, you’ll only have one unlocked. This will be a challenge based on the damage thresholds for The Final Day. If you have them unlocked, you’ll also see challenges for The Minstrel’s Ballad: Hydaelyn’s Call, The Minstrel’s Ballad: Zodiark’s Fall, and the Pandaemonium raids.

A challenge will require you to kill the striking dummy within the time limit. If you’re able to, you’re ready for the challenge. If not, you may need to gear up or improve your rotation.

Overall, Stone, Sky, Sea is not a hard restriction on raiding or Extreme content. However, it's a really good measure of whether you’re pulling your weight in that content. If you’re consistently falling short, it's time to get on that striking dummy and practice until you can measure up!
