It’s your last chance to get FFXIV’s two-foot-tall Y’shtola doll

Dreamy doll or uncanny nightmare?

Final Fantasy XIV fans have one last chance to grab one of the most unique pieces of merchandise Square Enix have ever released. This two-foot-tall, stylised luxury doll of Y’shtola is back in stock for a limited time. The news was released on the Square Enix products EMEA on Twitter.

The Dollfie Dream Y’shtola doll is part of the popular luxury doll brand Dollfie Dream. Listed as being 62.5cm (from tips of ears to bottom of boots), this is a made to order product, and some of the details are kind of crazy. The fur on the coat, the embroidery, the leather boots, all combine to give this doll an uncanny appearance

Volk, the makers of this doll, are famous for garage kits, which are often unlicensed, but high-quality limited run model kits. With their Dollfie Dream range they provide pre-built dolls of famous characters. And the price tag matches the quality. Y’shtola sells for $1,200, but others, such as the Dollfie Dream Hatsune Miku doll, often retails for $2,500 or more from resellers.

Originally released in 2021, this piece is really impressive. It’s definitely something for die hard collectors, either of Final Fantasy merchandise, or of Volk dolls. However, there’s an element to this doll that’s just a little bit creepy. If you’re not a fan of dolls, scared of them or otherwise, we’d recommend staying away from this two-foot enchantress.

Dollfie Dream Y’shtola is now only available in Europe, unless you’re willing to brave international shipping. Its return to the FFXIV merchandise lineup is just in time for Doll's Day, which is also celebrated in-game with Little Ladies’ Day. And the Y’shtola doll has us wondering, would you buy a two-foot-tall doll of your favorite FFXIV character if they made more?
