Forspoken delayed, now scheduled for Fall 2022

Frey's journey was delayed.

Forspoken is one of PlayStation's exclusive titles coming to the PS5 and aims to be another ambitious title from Square Enix. Formerly titled Project Athia, the next-gen exclusive scheduled for a Spring 2022 release, but that's no longer the case.

Luminous Productions, the team behind Forspoken, unveiled on Mar. 7, 2022, that Forspoken would see a shift in its release date. Instead of coming out in May as the team planned initially, Forspoken will now launch on Oct. 11, 2022. The crew cited the need to polish the game and give players the best possible experience when taking on their new IP. You can see their official Twitter Statement below:

Luminous Productions also said they'd be sharing more information about Forspoken soon, which could hint at a showing during one of PlayStation's State of Play soon.

Forspoken, while delayed, does offer an impressive combination of visuals and unique third-person combat, with Frey utilizing magic and traversal to overcome the myriad enemies that she'll encounter while lost in the land of Athia, which you can see below:
