Should I get Summer Drift if it comes back out? I couldn’t get the original Drift because I joined in season six and I couldn’t get Catalyst because I took a break from the game in season ten.

Honestly, I don’t think Epic Games made this free for Drift owners because some people weren’t able to buy the Season 5 Battle Pass, so they wanted to make it available for everyone. Summer Drift is just a casual reskin of Drift. I don’t see why so many people with the Season 5 Battle Pass are so mad, this skin is just for people who want Drift but don’t have him.
It would be cool if it was a selectable style for drift but you would have to do challenges and there would be a time limit until season 9 ends. Or maybe they could’ve just released the summer drift skin but it was the one with the shirt and the one without the shirt would be a free style.
I know if they are gonna re-release him the least they could do was give the OG drifts a style. im pretty upset…

It’s usually a couple days on new skins, but could be longer because of the event.

In my opinion, the skin is not worth it by any mean. First, is just the a lite version of a creative and detailed skin that is Drift (which literally cost 950 VBucks) but this one, is far more expensive.
Second, is an insult to the people who has this skin. Why on earth this is not an alternative style? Is exactly the same character than the one of the battle pass but without a shirt!! Common Epic! Don’t do that! Fishstick has awesome styles for free, as well another few skins. Why sell this one for 1,500 VBucks?
Is my opinion, but people will buy it and that is the reason that Epic will realize that is a good strategic to sell the same battle pass characters (because is not just a skin, is a character) in expensive prices and certainly will do it in a future:
Fire Ragnarok, White Omega, Light (Black) Knight etc etc. If they do it with Drift, why don’t do it with other battlepass characters?
Don’t buy it, lets proof to Epic that they are wrong if they start to do this.

I’ve been on fortnite since the start but was never able to get the battle bass till season 8 which is sad because there were so many cool skins I could get like drift and my sister wouldn’t let me get summer drift with my own VBucks. 😞
It’s actually not the exact same skin. Original base skin was actually Mansu (according to skin tracker anyway, but most certainly Asian, in any event) whereas the summer skin is a white boy. Not sure why it was a changed, but it’s all very disappointing in its entirety, imo. They should have just made it not Drift. Like how they added Starfish to the event, female counterpart to Fishstick, it should have just been a new female character w base skin Mari/Evelyn or Headhunter. But whatever.
Sorry i copped the skin because i started playing in season 7 and i really wanted a skin with kitsune things.
This skin is for the one that haven’t bought the battle pass or didn’t play back in season 5 (like me) because some of them want drift.
Well the Drift skin is supposed to be only exclusive to the season 5 battle pass players. As a Season 3 player, This skin should just be a selectable style and if not, it is completely NOT worth it. And Ragnarok needs more color tbh
