There is an entire fishing scene in Fortnite, that is really for players who want to do well by fishing. Fishing may not be the hardest thing to do in the game, but it's really satisfying to catch all of the fish in each season. If you manage to capture them all, sometimes you'll even get a special reward.
Every Fish location in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3
We have listed the best fishing spots in Fortnite below, followed by all of the fishing locations within the game. Several of the fish have their own requirements and things to do before they can be caught. Follow our guide as closely as you can to get the best fish available.
Don't be discouraged if some fish take longer to catch than others. We finally caught the forest fish after five games, for example.
Best Fishing Spot location in Fortnite
You can find the very best fishing spots on the west side of the map. To the northwest of Rave cave all the way on the west side, you can find a small fishing spot. It is a great spot to fish because there are many holes here, and it is very secluded. You'll also find a fishing rod here so you can start fishing right away. The map above should help you find it.
Because there is nothing else to do here but fish, and because there are so many spots and a rod ready, it seems like it was made specifically for fishing players by Epic Games.

How to Fish in Fortnite
You need a fishing rod or harpoon gun before you can fish in Fortnite. You can find fishing rods in barrels near the beach or scattered around the map, and harpoon guns are sometimes found in chests.
It's easier to find specific fish if you find the right fishing spots rather than fishing with a fishing rod. If you want to find fishing spots, you should look for white circles in the water where fish are under and jumping up. The image below should help you determine where to fish. After you get a fish, it is then up to you whether you want to consume or leave the fish alone.
To get a fish, you can cast your rod by pressing the same button you use to shoot (R2 for PlayStation, RT for Xbox, and right-click for PC). Once you see your bobber sink, press the shooting button again to reel in your fish. Hookshots use a similar concept but take much less time. Aim your Hookshot at the fishing hole and fire. You will catch fish, but it will also use up ammunition.

How to get a Pro Fishing Rod in Fortnite
Getting the Pro Fishing Rod is easy if you buy it from Fishstick. Fishstick can be found in Sleepy Sound, and the building he is in is marked above. He will sell you the Pro Fishing Rod for 30 gold if you approach him. You can use the Pro Fishing Rod to catch very specific fish, but you can also use it anywhere and anytime.
Either you can go straight to the fishing spot, or you can set up a tent near the fishing spot so you can keep the rod there until you need it. Ideally, you would use this for fish that need to be caught at a specific time with the Pro Fishing Rod or for spots that you think might be overrun and are not in other game sessions.
What does collecting all the fish do in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3?
Absolutely nothing. By the time you catch all fish, you will most likely be ahead of all of your friends on fishing goals, but there is no big reward at the end. This could change later in the season because maybe Epic Games doesn't want everyone to go fishing at the same time.
We recommend catching every fish because it's easy XP and there is nothing easier than fishing in the water in Fortnite.
