The whole point of Fortnite cosmetics is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Hence, it's impossible to create an unbiased list, as everyone has their own opinion—and that's great! Having said that, here's my list of all-time favorite Fortnite pickaxes. I have a soft spot for crossovers between movies and games.
Leviathan Axe - Kratos will be pleased to hear that his weapon is arguably the most popular pickaxe in the game. It certainly is at the top of my list of best harvesting tools!
Stormbreaker - Continuing the gods' weapons trend, here's a second favorite Thor's weapon.
Adamantium Claws - Wolverine claws look fantastic and offer a different visual than a regular pickaxe.
Chainsaw Hand - Ash from Evil Dead is one of my favorite movie characters, so having his fateful chainsaw is a must.
Reaper - Fear the Reaper!
Hammerhead Morty - Oh geez, this Rick & Morty harvesting tool looks great.
Ezio's Hidden Blade - Those are blades from Ezio Auditore da Firenze, so of course, I had to have them.
Harley Hitter - Whether it's a movie or animated TV show, Quinn is my favorite female antihero.
Baguette Bat - This pastry is so stale it can break through any object.
Batman Pickaxe - Bataxe would also sound great, but I'll take anything from Batman, no matter the name.
Are some Fortnite Pickaxes faster or more powerful?
All Fortnite pickaxes deal the same damage; the only difference is their appearance. While some players have debated that specific harvesting tools are faster, they only have different animations. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't look for a perfect pickaxe for your in-game appearance.
