How to build an animal house in LEGO Fortnite

The LEGO Fortnite Farm Friends update marks the addition of the animal recruitment feature, which means you can tame them and bring them to your cozy village. However, these lovely animals need shelter too, so I've put together all the steps to build an animal house in LEGO Fortnite.

How to make an Animal House in LEGO Fortnite

You can craft an Animal House by heading to the Build menu and selecting Barn from the list under the Stations tab. But before that, make sure you have 10x Planks, which are the essential ingredients required to set up an Animal House.

If you are a LEGO Fortnite veteran, you must already know the secret to obtain Planks. But if you're just getting started, you’ll need to build a lumber mill to make them. Each plank costs 8x Wood and 15x Granite, so I strongly recommend you collect all these essential materials beforehand.

How to unlock Animal House recipe in LEGO Fortnite

As is tradition, the Animal House recipe is locked by default, which means it won't appear in the build menu unless you meet certain conditions. The only prerequisite to unlock the Animal House recipe in LEGO Fortnite is upgrading your village to Level 2.

In case you haven't built a village for yourself, all you need to do is craft a Village Square by gathering 10 pieces of wood and granite. Once you have your own Village set up, I highly recommend focusing on building structures such as walls, campfires, shacks, and stations to level it up quickly. The Village level is displayed on the top right corner of the screen, so make sure to keep an eye on it.

After building an Animal House in your village, you can finally assign a creature, and they can live in their new comfy home.
