How to Investigate the Anomaly Detected at Lazy Lake in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6

You read it just a second ago, but it's important to note it again, as we don't want you seeking out this quest if you haven't met the requirements. You must be level 14 in the Battle Pass to do this quest. If you aren't at least level 14, you won't receive this quest on your log, and you can't complete it.

Once you are level 14, though, the quest is fairly easy. It only requires you to find Jonesy (as a butterfly) and follow him to an easy puzzle. Let's go over it now.

Step One: Find Butterfly Jonesy

The Anomaly location in Lazy Lake.

In the image above, you will see one particular house highlighted in Lazy Lake. This is the house you need to go to complete this quest. It's a yellow house on the northwestern corner of the town with a number 2 on the front. Once you enter the house, you will see what is shown on the right side of the image above. Butterfly Jonesy!

Step Two: Complete the Puzzle

If you approach Butterfly Jonesy, you'll see it floats down to the basement of the house and into a wall. This is a hint that you need to bust down this wall and see what's behind it. When you do this, you'll find yourself in a small room with a puzzle mechanism in front of you.

The trick to this puzzle is that you must interact with the gems in the correct order, or it will reset the whole puzzle. It's not difficult to complete, but if you just want to skip straight to finishing it, you can refer to the pictures below for guidance.

The four steps for the Lazy Lake Anomaly Puzzle.

The order of the gems you need to interact with is listed below. Unfortunately, you don't see the colors of the gems until you interact with them. We are going to explain which gem to interact with based on the entrance of the room.

  1. The First Gem is the Gem closest to the door that is shaped like an oval. Engage that gem, then move across the table.
  2. The Second Gem is the Gem farthest from the door that's shaped like a teardrop.
  3. The Third Gem is the triangular-shaped gem on the right side of the table (assuming you're looking from the entrance).
  4. The Fourth Gem is the square-shaped gem on the left side of the table (assuming you're looking from the entrance).

Once you have interacted with all four Gems in the correct order, a blueish-white light will appear in the center of the table. To complete the task, all you need to do is interact with that blueish white light! That's the first Anomaly down and one new Agent Jonesy skin unlocked!
