Genshin Impact: A Mysterious Loss

This world quest is the eighth Meteoric Wave quest but the second out of three for the Star of Destiny set of quests in the Unreconciled Stars Event in Genshin Impact! However, this is an event, so we advise you to complete them as quickly as you can!

A Mysterious Loss

A Mysterious Loss is a quest in Genshin Impact where you have to help Victor recover an important box when he lost it when attacked by Electro Slimes. This quest is part of the Meteoric Wave Missions for the Unreconciled Stars Event.

To accept this quest, you must first have completed the 7 previous missions before this one will is accessible, including the first in this questline Unlimited Opportunity. Not only that, but you also need to have completed What the Skies Conceal, the Waters Reveal quest.

Head to the Mondstadt Cathedral, and speak with Viktor. He'll inform you that he's lost a box and wants your help recovering it from the Electro Slimes. Accept the quest and head to the Thousands Winds Temple; the fastest way is using the waypoint to the west of the temple. On your arrival, use your Elemental Sight to look for traces of the box's location. You should quickly see a purple track.

Interact with the purple trail, and follow it. You should see a group of Electro Slimes, the ones you are looking for. Dispatch these in whatever way you see fit, and use your Elemental Sight once again, and you should see another purple marker. Interact with it again, and you should find Vikors box. Return to the Cathedral and give Vikor back his box, completing this mission.

This is the second mission in the Star of Destiny quests; the third is the Trouble with Letters. With these quests, you'll earn Fading Star's Essence, which allows you to buy items from the event shop; we recommend saving up for the Crown of Sagehood.
