If you are jumping into Genshin Impact for the first time, then you no doubt have some questions. These open-world RPG games can be a bit confusion and overwhelming when you first start playing. If you're curious how to help restore your character's health, then we will walk you through the process below!
Nothing is more important than knowing how to recuperate your HP in these games. You will be battling it out with different enemies throughout your travels, so you will find your team in dire straits from time-to-time. Make sure you are well-stocked before venturing out into the wilds!
How to Restore Health
To heal your character in Genshin Impact, you will either need to use a healing skill that one of your characters can use, eat food that you cook or collect in the wild, interact with a Statue of The Seven, or level up the character that needs healing. Using a healing skill or eating food is going to be the most common way to restore your health. However, the Statue of Seven can be quite useful as well.
I'm going to go in a bit more detail on all of the aspect of healing in the game.
Only certain characters can heal, and these are generally only healing classes like Hydro characters. Barbara in particular has healing skills she can use, which you can swap into other characters to get healed. Not many other characters have an ability to heal, so you will mostly need to rely on food.
You can get Barbara for free by reaching Adventure Level 20 before the first major patch of the game!
There's a whole lot of recipes you can learn that will heal your characters. You will find ingredients by scavenging in the open world, or slaying different animals for meats. You can then bring these supplies to stoves in cities, or the many campfires that you will come across while exploring the world. If you're wondering about what different recipes you will have access to, you can check out the Cooking Wiki.
If you don't want to cook, there are also vendors and restaurants that you can purchase food from.
Statue of The Seven
These can found pretty rarely on the map, there are currently only nine of them available. These are pretty significant, so you should go seeking them out any chance you get. They will refill missing parts of the map, serve as waypoints, restore the entire party's health, can increase your maximum stamina in exchange for Oculi, and gives you the ability to change the elemental talents of the Traveler (main character). You can find all of the locations of the Statues of The Seven in this interactable map!
