Genshin Impact leaker shares first look at Sumeru, plus a possible new Traveler-inspired glider

Sumeru is getting closer and closer.

With only a few updates until Sumeru's release, Genshin Impact's army of leakers are turning their attention to sharing information surrounding the nation of wisdom. Six months ago, a rough image of Sumeru City in grayscale was shared in r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks. It detailed a city that features an upward incline, where most buildings are clustered at the bottom. It could be presumed that the peak of the city houses the famed Academia.

Recently, a more detailed video exploring an early model of Sumeru was shared by u/Za_Woka_Genava on the same subreddit, credited to leaker @lumie_lumie (although the video wasn't posted on Twitter). It features Ganyu touring bits of Sumeru City in color, featuring a giant treehouse-like structure overlooking a cluster of homes below.

The design is reminiscent of Liyue's Wangshuu Inn, but with more Sumeru-esque architecture. Being the nation ruled by the Dendro Archon, the plant motifs are fitting for the nation's theme. Sumeru is not expected to look close to the leak, as it's currently just a placeholder until Genshin Impact puts the actual city together in the game files. But it could possibly give players a general idea of what to look forward to in the near future.

Additionally, the video also showcases an interesting glider that's reminiscent of the wings the Traveler wore during the game's introduction. Commenters have fallen in love with the fairy-like wings, with hopes that they become obtainable in-game alongside the long-awaited Sumeru update.
