Genshin Impact Purbiruni’s Commandment World Quest guide

Purbiruni's Commandment is a Genshin Impact World Quest that continues Khedive's saga from The Chasm's dark Underground Mines to the busy Sumeru Akademiya. If you've been playing the game since before Sumeru's release, you might have already obtained the Akademiya Recommendation Letter. I've been wondering where to use it—and this quest finally answers that question.

How to unlock Purbiruni's Commandment World Quest in Genshin Impact

To unlock Purbiruni's Commandment, you must first complete the three prerequisites below in any order:

• Mycological Investigation in The Chasm
• Hydrological Investigation in The Chasm
• Paleontological Investigation in The Chasm

Once you've completed all three, you'll receive a Quest Item called the Akademiya Recommendation Letter.

Double-check your inventory to ensure you have this Quest Item after completing the three prerequisites above. If not, speak to Khedive again to obtain it.

How to use the Akademiya Recommendation Letter in Genshin Impact – Purbiruni's Commandment

With the Akademiya Recommendation Letter in your inventory, approach the Sumeru Akademiya to automatically unlock the Purbiruni's Commandment World Quest. You'll be asked to search for the Purbiruni scholar. Speak to Iris and Hawa by the Akademiya entrance to proceed. Once that's done, follow the quest navigator inward and speak to Sadife, who will ask you to retrieve research notes.

Head west of The Dune of Carouses and investigate the glowing spot close to the broken house up ahead. Doing so will spawn Treasure Hoarders. Defeat all the enemies to trigger dialogue and obtain the Quest Item called Sadife's Case. Once that's done, return to the Sumeru Akademiya and speak to Sadife to turn in your progress.

After speaking to Sadife, head to The Chasm Exploration Team's camp in the Underground Mines, where you'll find Khedive. Speak with him to finally complete this World Quest.
