Genshin Impact's resilient army of leakers has recently uncovered compelling images related to what's allegedly a new Geo catgirl who hails from Inazuma. Leaks about her possible appearance began circulating about a month ago thanks to a post by @SpendYourPrimos, and a flurry of fanart soon followed suit.
However, persistent leakers were recently able to unearth alleged images of the upcoming character's official artwork. They claim that her name is Momoka, a five-star character currently speculated to be a Geo sword user who may or may not play the role of a shielder. Her kit seems to involve creating a shield by tapping and holding her Elemental Skill, similar to Zhongli. Furthermore, she's rumored to be a standard banner character, aligning with another leak that suggested there would be an expansion to the standard banner lineup.
She appears to have blonde hair, embellished ears, and an outfit that resembles that of a middle school uniform combined with kunoichi and shrine-related elements. The focal points of her appearance are her undeniable paws and split tail, the latter of which is reminiscent of the nekomata's tail. Given as Inazuma's culture is deeply rooted in the existence of various forms of yokai, it's possible for Momoka to be one as well.
Players were initially confused by her leaked name, given as a World Quest called The Very Special Fortune Slip mentions the name Momoka, a Shuumatsuban member believed to be deceased. It's unclear whether the upcoming character has any relation with the ninja. No coincidences slip past HoYoverse's writers—but only time will tell if the catgirl Momoka and the kunoichi Momoka are one and the same.
