The Genshin community has been excited for Alhaitham to come out ever since he was featured in the Sumeru Archon Quests. At long last, he is here, wielding a sword and the power of Dendro. In combat, he creates Chisel-Light Mirrors that cause his normal attacks to deal Dendro DMG. Through his passive, Alhaitham has a chance to create double the amount of Weapon Ascension Materials. Come join us as we explain whether or not you should pull for Alhaitham in Genshin Impact.
Should you pull for Alhaitham in Genshin Impact?
Yes, Alhaitham is worth pulling for in Genshin Impact. Due to his ability to teleport short distances and deal massive AoE damage, Alhaitham is useful both in exploration and combat. His attacks feel crisp, and he can easily trigger multiple Charged Attacks in a row, which is crucial for his kit. In combat, his abilities feel like Keqing's, although his teleport seems to function in a more consistent manner. With his Elemental Skill, Alhaitham can swiftly rush toward enemies, dealing Dendro DMG in the process.
When he's not in a fight, his Elemental Skill can be used to reach higher places without consuming stamina. Even so, this ability has a hefty 15-second cooldown, giving it less utility than Kaedehara Kazuha's Elemental Skill. Despite its quirks, Alhaitham's teleport is great for repositioning. If you're looking to pull off a Plunge Attack, simply hold his Elemental Skill button and aim upwards.
Alhaitham's Elemental Burst is simple but powerful. During this ability, Alhaitham deals Dendro AoE DMG, which is exponentially increased if he has Chisel-Light Mirrors on the field. The range of his Elemental Burst is quite generous, and it causes Dendro projectiles to rain from the sky after the initial area of effect attack. Overall, Alhaitham's combat mechanics feel both new and familiar, like HoYoverse took Keqing's kit and made it even better.
