Can you customize your character in Gotham Knights?

Choosing your character in Gotham Knights is one thing, but can you modify their appearance to better fit your own style? Creative director Patrick Redding and producer Fleur Marty met with IGN in August 2020 and spoke on character customization.

Yes, you can customize and style the Knights as you like. Making gear that looks different is an important part of the game. Your ranged weapon, melee weapon, suit, and suit skin can be changed. According to Redding, this is a robust system that will remain so throughout the game.

There are certain armor characteristics within the suits that react to the suit skins. Redding went on to say that each skin has a distinct look, depending on the suit it's paired with.

Can you use your customized character in multiplayer mode in Gotham Knights?

Yes, this character customization extends to multiplayer mode. You and your friend can choose the same Knight but look completely different based on your style preferences.

According to Redding and Marty, one of the objectives was to allow players to choose how they wanted to play the Knights. You can look like a modern Gotham Knight or even use retro-style suits that harken back to when they were teamed with the late Batman.
