Anyone who has played a survival game knows a Workbench is one of the most important things to make. Grounded follows the same trend, so here is how you get a Workbench in Grounded.
How to craft a Workbench in Grounded
Making a Workbench in Grounded can be a little confusing if you're used to something like Minecraft. One of the materials needed for a Workbench is not added to your inventory. Once you have all the ingredients below, the Workbench can be crafted in your crafting menu.
- Grass Planks x3
- Sprig x4
- Sap x2
Grass Planks are found by using an axe to down stalks of grass. Once the stalk has been felled, pick up the Plank. It will not be added to your inventory; your character will pick up the Grass Plank and carry it on their shoulder. Pick up two additional Grass Planks, as you can carry three, and go where you want to place your Workbench.

Sprigs are the easiest of the three materials to find. Simply locate the tall, leafy plants and pluck them from the ground. Sap is a little harder to find but can be located by seeking out wood, such as branches and roots, like at the oak tree. You can collect individual drops of Sap by hand, but you need a hammer to break up clumps of Sap.
The Workbench is located under the Storage & Utilities tab. Once you craft it, you are taken to the construction placement menu. Finalize its location and click the build button. You are now the proud owner of a workbench; craft some armor, weapons, and tools!
