Guilty Gear Strive Patch Notes: Version 1.26

All the latest patch notes, including a new character!

Guilty Gear Strive is a popular title in the acclaimed Guilty Gear multiplayer fighting game series. It’s the seventh game in the series, which is available across the Xbox, PlayStation, and PC game platforms and includes crossplay functionality. Initially released in 2021, the game is still supported by developer Arc System Works through regular updates. Here’s what was added in the Guilty Gear Strive patch version 1.26.

Guilty Gear Strive patch version 1.26: New character, Bedman? plus other additions

Bedman? is now available as a playable character in Guilty Gear Strive after purchasing the GGST Season Pass 2 or the Bedman? DLC item. Once acquired, the Bedman? The Circle theme, Avatar (obtained via fishing), and BGM (available via fishing) will also become available.

Digital figure items for Sin Kiske have been added which can be acquired via fishing. New glossary terms have been added which relate to Another Story, while there have also been updated entries on Baiken, Bedman?, Delilah, Faust, May, and Sin Kiske.

Network, Mission, and Arcade Mode fixes

  • Network mode: Search ID appeared darkened when creating a Training player match room (fixed)
  • Network mode: Enhanced countermeasures versus unauthorized network signals
  • Mission mode: Mission cleared error after a ground throw in Leo Match-up Tutorial 1 (fixed)
  • Arcade mode: Game unresponsive after Wall Break sequence involving two characters (fixed)

Guilty Gear Strive Battle changes

  • Roman Cancel: Activates on hit or whiff of the attack regardless of input method.
  • Clash: The slowdown effect ends after a clash between two characters' attacks.
  • Air Backdash: Now has higher priority than air Dash, so will execute when quickly releasing [backarrow] after inputting [back arrow] plus the dash button.
  • Wall Stick: Fixed character position change that could happen in corners when triggered.

 Character balancing and error fixes

  • Anji Mito: For Kachoufuugetsu Kai, super flash initiates as soon as a counter succeeds so you can no longer act between the counter succeeding and the super flash.
  • Faust: When using Scarecrow (S version), Faust’s position stays the same regardless of the direction faced.
  • Giovanna: Dash can be overwritten by Faultless Defense during a super flash.
  • Happy Chaos: Fire now always hits an opponent that’s taking damage on is in block stun. At The Ready can now be performed directly after Super Focus when activated with no Concentration.
  • I-No: Air Dash and Air Back Dash now work the same as for other characters.
  • Leo Whitefang: Dash can be overwritten by Faultless Defense during a super flash.
  • Potemkin: Slide Head can KO an opponent when it triggers Wall Break.
  • Ramlethal Valentine: Bajoneto will no longer move to an unintended position under certain conditions.
  • Sin Kiske: The follow-up to Hawk Baker cannot be canceled by Roman Cancelled.
  • Zato-1: The Amorphous hitbox always activates in front of the stage corner.
