Halo Infinite is nearing the launch of its free-to-play multiplayer and 343 Industries have been revealing and showing off new content as its release date approaches. One of the most important aspects of Halo Infinite's multiplayer is its maps and 343 Industries has been revealing and showing these off before Halo Infinite releases on Dec 8.
So far, 343 Industries have confirmed that six maps would be at launch. All of these have been new maps built specifically for Halo Infinite. These maps are Bazaar, Behemoth, Fragmentation, Live Fire, Recharge, and Streets. There has been no official word on the total number of maps in Halo Infinite. There has been datamined information that there could be up to 18 or 23 maps at launch, but take it with a pinch of salt until official confirmation.
343 Industries has chosen a variety of landscapes and locations when designing Halo Infinite's multiplayer maps. While each one is new, they do take some inspiration from previous Halo maps and campaigns. Players can battle Spartans in city streets, wild valleys, industrial facilities, and more.
Each one was built with certain design elements in mind as well as favoring particular game modes. Some feature tight corridors while others favor an emphasis on verticality. Behemoth and Fragmentation are both massive maps designed with Big Team Battle in mind and offer numerous vehicles for players to control.
