When does Halo Infinite Season 1 End?

Halo Infinite is the first entry in the franchise to make multiplayer completely free-to-play, and with the new business model that 343 Industries has implemented comes a variety of changes to the core gameplay loop. Players will have to participate in a seasonal battle pass to unlock cosmetics.

Halo Infinite's first season: Heroes of Reach Battle, will run until May 2022, giving players until then before the next season starts. Halo Infinite's multiplayer may be in beta, but all progression earned before the game's official release on December 8 will carry over. There are over 100 rewards for players to unlock across 100 tiers.

Don't worry if you're unable to finish the Heroes of Reach Battle Pass by May 2022, though, as passes don't expire. You'll be able to select which Battle Pass you want to level up when you're playing Halo Infinite once there is more than one available.

While the gameplay has nearly unanimous praise for Halo Infinite, players are less than impressed with the Heroes of Reach Battle pass progression. Some report that leveling the pass up a single time takes hours, as only challenge completion contributes to leveling up.

The Community Director of 343 Industries, Brian Jarrard, has spoken on the less than stellar reception to the Battle Pass and its slow progression, stating the team behind Halo Infinite is hard at work to remedy the situation.
