After its surprise announcement during the Xbox 20th Anniversary stream, players immediately flocked to their preferred gaming system to download and play the Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta. What they found was that the game is available for install, but the download is either incredibly slow or, particularly for PC players, completely non-existent.
There are several factors involved in this hiccup, but the most likely culprit is the popularity of the game itself. That is to say, you will probably find it hard to download the game because of the immense stress put on the Xbox servers immediately following the announcement. When mass amounts of people download the game at once, it can bog things down on the server's end, which in turn, makes it look like you're unable to download the game.

The second problem seems to be the most common one for players using the Xbox Game App on Windows PCs. When starting the download, it seems to take only a few seconds to download, then it offers the option to play the game. This seems unlikely to be possible since the download for the game itself is over 10GB. Unfortunately, this means that there is some other issue on Xbox's end that is stopping players from properly downloading the game.
If you currently cannot download the game, the best option right now is to wait it out to download Halo Infinite when there is reduced stress on the servers. In the meantime, if it seems like the game only took a few seconds to install, be sure to uninstall it before you try installing it again when the issue is fixed on their end.
