Is there multiplayer in Hero’s Hour?

Who is the better hero?

Hero's Hour is developer ThingOnItsOwn's real-time auto battler strategy game. It takes inspiration from classic Heroes of Might and Magic games and other strategy games. A key aspect of this genre is multiplayer and schooling your friends on the battlefield. This may leave you wondering if there is multiplayer in Hero's Hour.

The answer is yes and no. Hero's Hour does feature local hotspot multiplayer, but this only allows you to play against a friend who is right next to you. The developer has stated on a Steam forum discussion they would like to implement this with Steam remote play but isn't sure how to do this.

Other users have found ways to play online multiplayer in Hero's Hour through third-party software. This includes Team Viewer or Parsec. But at the game's Steam launch, there will be no official way to play Hero's Hour online against friends.

That being said, Hero's Hour is quite fun to play solo, and being single-player allows you to play at your own pace. Should online multiplayer make its way to Hero's Hour, you should have plenty of time to get ready!
