Penacony probably has some of the most hard-to-navigate maps in Honkai: Star Rail so far, and that's with the Artisanship Commission in mind. If you're nearing your wit's end finding a missing treasure chest in A Child's Dream, hopefully, this guide can help you spot it.
Where to find all treasure chests in A Child's Dream - Honkai Star Rail
As this area is tricky to navigate, I'll separate the chest locations via their common area. There are 12 chests in total, though there are only 11 Basics (we checked this multiple times in our gameplay recording). There is a "treasure" that ticks it off, but I'm not sure which one. It's definitely in the middle room, perhaps the chest near the exit. When we did our Golden Hour treasure chest hunt, two Precious Chests ticked the number up.
Nevertheless, if you're missing any of them, I can guarantee you it's one of these.
Chest 1, 2, 3
The first chest (starting room) is hidden behind some piles of objects, in case you can't find it.
Chest 4
The fourth chest is in the first room with sticky walls. You first need to use this bubble (pic 1) to run down the wall. The chest is on that "floor."

Chest 5
In the next box room, climb up the ramp and choose the right path.
Chest 6
From the last area, push through on your main story route and climb the sticky wall on your left (you can see the ramp figure in the image above). The chest should be in front of your face.
Chest 7
It's hard to miss. Once you reach the next bubble charge station, you should see it.
Chest 8
From the last area, follow the main story path downward. Before you climb any wall, be sure to pick up the next chest.
Chest 9
When you've been freed from the walls, and your feet are back on the actual floor, look for this chest. It's near the bridge machine that will connect the road between the room entrance and exit.
Chest 10, 11
The last room will be unlocked after you're able to return to reality.
