Best support characters to share in Honkai Star Rail

Honkai: Star Rail's co-op gameplay comes in the form of friend supports, which you can use to complete Calyxes, Stagnant Shadows, Caverns of Corrosion, and Echoes of War. The more your supports are used, the more Credits you can earn every week.

With a shortage of Credits in the inflated intergalactic economy, maxing out your friend support bonuses can be a great source of weekly income. Here are some of the best support characters you can share with others in Honkai: Star Rail.

Best friend support characters to share for Credits in HSR

I've chosen the characters below based on how likely they are to be picked by others. You generally want to stay away from free-to-play units, as most players already have them. Using the characters below isn't enough either—make sure they're properly built!

Bronya

Bronya has been a universally excellent support unit since its launch for her unique ability to buff and Advance Forward allies. Being a standard banner five-star character, there aren't a lot of players who have her, so she'll be picked quite a bit when you set her as a support character.

Ruan Mei

Ruan Mei is a fantastic support unit that can provide a plethora of buffs to allies. She's useful for players who lack a reliable buffer in the team and is a limited five-star character, so you'll see her used quite often when set as a friend support.

Imbibitor Lunae

Honkai: Star Rail lacks Imaginary DPS units, but Imbibitor Lunae can fill that role with his powerful AoE abilities. Build him as a capable DPS unit with a good level of survivability to garner demand, as he tends to be the first to die in teams without strong survival supports.

Jingliu

There are few Ice DPS units in HSR, and Jingliu is arguably the best among them. Being a limited banner character, there aren't many players who own her, and there's always demand for Ice Weakness Breakers.

Argenti

If you own Argenti, consider bringing him into your support roster. He's a great farming character focused on dealing AoE DMG, and his Element is Physical, which has been cursed with having few reliable characters. Your Argenti is going to get picked a lot when you put him as a friend support.

Blade

With so many farming streams weak against Wind, I find Blade to be one of my most-picked friend supports. He's an easy DPS who can be used across a lot of content, so newer players will appreciate his help in tough battles.

Himeko

There aren't a lot of reliable Fire DPS units in the game, so Himeko makes for a great option if you don't own Argenti. While she doesn't excel in more difficult gameplay (such as Echoes of War), she's a great farmer and will generate interest in other game modes.

Seele

Seele has been the best Quantum DPS unit since HSR launched. With so few characters who belong to this Element group, you'll find a lot of use for her in battles that require Quantum Weakness Breakers.

Fu Xuan

Similarly to Seele, Fu Xuan is coveted for her Quantum Weakness Break, and she's also a very reliable Preservation unit who can sometimes double up as a healer. Since she can play two roles in one, players tend to pick her to give their team more room for an extra DPS or support.

Abundance Characters (Luocha/Huohuo/Bailu)

Some players are blessed with the best five-star DPS units in the game but are barely surviving with only Natasha in their Abundance roster. Consider putting forth your best five-star healer to help struggling glass cannon teams survive.

How to set up friend support characters in Honkai Star Rail

Head to the phone menu in the game, then click on the three dots beside your Trailblazer name. A drop-down will appear. Select Trailblazer Profile to open up the page with your information, including three slots to place support characters on the right. Feel free to edit your lineup!
