Best Characters for Simulated Universe World 8

Simulated Universe World 8 features a lot of Lightning and Wind mobs, so be sure to build your teams with these two elements in mind. That said, if you have them, I recommend Blade or Jing Yuan as your primary DPSes. This strategy is related to the Path I’m about to recommend to you: Elation.

Best Path and Blessings in World 8

Elation is the best Path you can use in Simulated Universe World 8, with Remembrance being a close second (but only because Remembrance can clear most Worlds except the one with Cocolia). Its Resonance Formation is the best one that can deal with Yanqing’s swords during his Phase 2 and 3.

If you have characters that specialize in follow-up attacks (such as Clara and Himeko), Elation will support that as well. I’ll talk about it more in a bit, but the fastest way to deal with Yanqing is to ensure he doesn’t get turns until his swords are down—which follow-up attacks or Remembrance’s Resonance Formation will accomplish.

If possible, also take the following blessings if they pop up:

  • Perfect Experience: Reticence (3* Remembrance) - After an enemy is attacked six time(s), they have a 120% base chance to become Frozen for one turn.
  • Perfect Experience: Innocence (3* Remembrance) - After a character Breaks an enemy's Weakness, there is a 100% base chance to apply Dissociation on the enemy for one turn

How to defeat Yanqing in Simulated Universe World 8

Continuing from my point above, Yanqing is only really lethal if he gets an opportunity to use his Big Attack with the remaining swords on the field. Thus, if you’re not confident in your team’s defensive capabilities, deal with the swords first before you deal with Yanqing. Yanqing also gets stunned when the swords have all been beaten, providing you an opportunity to attack.

But if you’re consulting this guide, then you already know what the main problem is—the fact that Yanqing summons them immediately and that you’re never given enough turns to deal with them before the big attack. This is why I highly recommend you take the Elation or Remembrance Paths in World 8. The goal is to deal with the swords ASAP with a Resonance Formation or delay Yanqing enough to use your own attacks to finish them off.

The Elation Strategy

The Elation is highly dependent on you dealing the biggest damn damage you can make in a short amount of time. This is why my recommended characters are those the likes of Blade, who can dish out follow-up attacks. Elation will boost the DMG% and frequency of these attacks as well.

Yanqing’s swords have hidden weaknesses, as you know. But once you’re able to hit that weakness, they Break with one attack. Elation’s Resonance Formation will deal a follow-up attack of a random type to all enemies three to five times. Thus, your Resonance Formation has a good chance of hitting all the swords with the element they’re weak too. So, always save it for the swords!

The Remembrance Strategy

If you don’t have follow-up attack units that can support the Elation Strategy above, take your best Lightning/Physical/Imaginary DPSes with you and choose the Remembrance Path. Remembrance’s Resonance Formation, buffed with Total Recall for the extra Effect Hit Rate, will freeze Yanqing and his swords, providing you with the opportunity to clear the field until they can get back in action.

Remembrance also has a 3* Blessing called Perfect Experience: Reticence, which freezes the enemies every five to six attacks. It’ll help support the stall strategy above.

Yanqing isn’t super bulky (we collectively hate the Ebon Deer for that), so he’s very easy to beat. Just make sure he doesn’t get the opportunity to beat YOU before the battle ends!
