Players looking for a Tallneck near Salt Bite might be a bit confused, as there are none wandering around this area. Instead, it is hidden inside the Cauldron nearby, Cauldron IOTA.
Deep inside the broken Cauldron IOTA
Cauldron IOTA was clearly hit by some seismic activity and stopped fully functioning in the midst of crafting many different machines. As Aloy makes her way through the Cauldron, she'll come across many machines that have made their home here as they are feeding off of the scrap left behind. Once entered, as with any Cauldron, players will not be able to leave until they have completed it.
A couple of Stalkers will be especially elusive, and one will wait until the end of the Cauldron to truly fight the player. Outside of this, more standard machines, like Leaplashers and Scrappers, are the main enemies within the Cauldron.
Finding the Tallneck's head
Once players have reached the central chamber of the Cauldron, they will be able to see the Tallneck, mostly constructed and being held in one of the arms. Rappel down into the chamber and override the network uplink to release the other machines into the room. Players will have to deal with a Fire Rollerback as the main boss here.
After defeating the Rollerback, Aloy can override the core. Players will receive several machine overrides before the elevator that would normally appear is quickly stopped short by the feet of the Tallneck. Head down below the platform and into the underside and override the door in this lower chamber. Aloy will then need to take the jumping puzzle path across the open corridor and further into the open area with a borrower. Override the network uplink here to create a bridge.
On the other side of the bridge, go up to the higher area to the right and jump across to the vents. Traverse these vents quickly up and to the left. There will be another platforming puzzle here to get all the way to the left, where players can find the Tallneck's head.

Freeing the Tallneck
From here, players will need to climb up and ride one of the machines gliding by with parts to drop down onto the arm clutching the Tallneck's head. Aloy will then need to clear the debris holding the head in place, and it will be released. The head will be taken back to the Tallneck's body and put together. Aloy will need to make her way separately back to the core.
Using the arms holding up the Tallneck in the core, players will be able to scale their way to the top of the Tallneck. Once atop its head, players can override the Tallneck and receive the map data within. After overriding the Tallneck, Aloy and the Tallneck will be pushed up out the top of the Cauldron.
