Southwest of Fall's Edge, players can find another Hunting Ground called The Raintrace. As with all of the Hunting Grounds, there are three specific challenges associated with this arena. These challenges are known as trials, and we will go over what is necessary to complete each one.
How to complete the Shock and Remove Trial
This trial requires Aloy to bring a Tremortusk to a Shocked state with shock ammo and then remove two tusks while it is in that state. The tricky aspect about this challenge is that Tremortusks are naturally resistant to shock elemental damage. To actually build up the shock on a Tremortusk, there are a couple of things players can do.
- Use Purgewater Ammo - Purgewater will weaken the Tremortusk to be more affected by the shock-based ammo.
- Use the Elemental Surge - Elemental Surge is one of the Valor Surges that players can unlock in the Trapper skill tree. When active, it increases the amount of elemental damage they will do and how fast an elemental effect will build up.
- Use Tear Ammo - Once the Tremortusk is in the Shocked state, the player should switch to a weapon with tear damage, indicated by the broken shield symbol.

How to Complete the Mounted Combat Trial
This trial requires players to have the ability to override Clawstriders before they can even attempt to complete it. To complete the trial, players will need to override and mount a Clawstrider in the arena and kill two other machines while riding it. In order to have this override, players will need to have completed the IOTA Cauldron north of the Shimmering Wastes Tallneck. With this in the toolbelt, players may also want to invest in a few skills within the Machine Master skill tree.

How to complete the Heavy Weapons Trial
This intense challenge will require the player to shoot off at least one of the Tremortusks' cannons to kill three machines within the arena. It will require the player to deal an immense amount of tear damage to the cannons on a Tremortusk without being destroyed by the multiple dangerous machines on the arena. On top of this, players will likely need to take out the Tremortusk they removed the cannon from as players cannot use heavy weapons in stealth.
Another big thing to remember is that these kinds of heavy weapons that the player drops off of the machines will have a limited amount of ammo inside. So players will need to heavily damage all three of their targets before grabbing the cannon to finish them off. Due to this, a mixture of explosive and stunning/freezing status effects should be abused in order to pin and subdue enemies to unleash heavy damage on them.
