Many of Horizon Forbidden West's Accessibility features are set right alongside the other settings of the game. To turn off motion blur, and other visual effects, these settings can be found in the Settings menu under Visual.

Accessing Settings

From the main menu, players can disable motion blur before they even start the game. It can be found under Settings in the Visuals tab or by going to the Accessibility settings. Motion blur can then be toggled on or off.

While playing the game, this is instead accessed by pressing the Options button on the controller, followed by going to the Settings menu and doing the same steps. The options to turn off Camera Shake, Underwater Camera Shake, as well as how the Camera Positioning can be found there as well.

Audio options are available as well, such as disabling the Tinnitus Sounds in the game. These occur primarily after explosions and can be found under the Audio tab or in Accessibility under the sliders for the game's volume.

Subtitle backgrounds can be added or left off and the size of subtitles can be adjusted in the Audio tab or just under the Tinnitus Sounds option in the Accessibility tab. The background adds a plain black background behind subtitles.
