How to upgrade the Potion Pouch in Horizon Forbidden West?

How do you carry more potions?

Horizon Forbidden West allows players to upgrade their equipment and "pouches." You can do this at workbenches scattered around the game's massive open-world map. The pouch upgrades will garner a range of effects mostly centered around the carrying capacity for the targeted item.

Potion Pouch upgrades will allow players to carry more potions at a time for use in and out of combat. This upgrade is extremely helpful. You can never do too much healing, especially when fighting late-game machines.

There are a total of 3 Potion Pouch upgrades. The items needed for each upgrade are listed below:

  • Upgrade 1 - 25 Metal Shards, 2 Squirrel Hide

  • Upgrade 3 - 100 Metal Shards, 2 Carp Skin, 1 Bighorn Sheep Bone

These items can be obtained by killing animals around the map and looting their bodies. Some items are more difficult than others, but animals seem to have a much higher chance of dropping rare items than machines, so it shouldn't take too long to upgrade this pouch.
